Bene Seed (Sesame)

Bene Seed (Sesame)

Naturally grown sesame (bene) seeds — packed with healthy oils and flavor.

Our bene seeds (also known as sesame seeds) are small but mighty — rich in healthy fats, minerals, and antioxidants. Grown organically in African soil, these seeds are carefully cleaned, sorted, and packed for local use and export. They’re ideal for oil extraction, tahini production, and as a nutritious addition to baked goods and snacks.

Product Description

Sesame (locally known as Bene seed in Nigeria) has been cultivated in the sun-drenched savannahs of Africa for centuries. Renowned for having one of the highest oil contents of any seed, our sesame crops are nurtured by experienced local farmers utilizing sustainable farming techniques that safeguard soil biology.

After harvesting, our seeds undergo comprehensive mechanical and optical sorting to remove foreign matter, immature seeds, and dust. This ensures our export-grade sesame achieves high purity levels (minimum 99.5%), exceptional uniform coloration (white, natural, or brown varieties), and optimum moisture levels below 6% for enduring freshness.

With an exceptional profile of healthy monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats, sesamin, sesamolin, and calcium, Peter And Hillen Farms sesame seeds are prized by oil crushers, tahini and halva manufacturers, bakery ingredient suppliers, and global commodity traders.

We handle packaging in high-grade 50kg polypropylene woven bags or bulk container liners, supported by complete phytosanitary and export documentation to meet international trade specifications.
